A few years ago...
I was tasked with a very unique group project in my 10th grade art class. We, as in the people at my table and I, had to work together to come up with a brand new invention. After three weeks of planning concept artwork and a pitch we would have to present our "invention" to the entire class. Prior to the assignment, my friend Althea and I had been creating wonderland themed demons for a world my friend had imagined called Chimaki. We were also very active video gamers, Althea with her PSP and myself with the PS3, so coming up with an idea for our "invention" wasn't very difficult (especially since Alice Madness Returns was recently released in that year). We decided to combine our wonderland themed characters and our love for video games into our very own wonderland themed video game knock-off.
All we had to do was create a new twist to the idea of Alice in Wonderland, and that's when I was struck with the idea of combining Sci-fi and Fantasy into one big fun fest! Thus, you get the concept of this role-play which you have already read in the Interest Check. We also went as far as to plan the game mechanics, as well as fun extras that could be included in the game. Needless to say, our idea was really popular through out the class and of course we got an A on our project. In the end, the project left an unsatisfied knot in my stomach because I wanted to see what our story would look like in full. Thus I came to the idea to start a role-play about it, and see where it gets me!
